I went to Michigan for the weekend to do a “Total Stockmanship” clinic with some real good folks that really enjoy learning and practicing our ranching and horsemanship styles that makes our western livestock culture so unique. We did real work dehorning some yearlings and cutting some calves. Great work around good folks. I was so busy I forgot my Saturday music.
On the way home I was having supper at my favorite restaurant in Denver Airport, a barbecue called “Aviator”. I’ve made friends with one of the hostesses and it was real busy so she sat me at the bar so I wouldn’t have to wait. I don’t usually sit at the bar, but it was real fortunate. The seat opened up next to me and to my surprise it was a fellow that I am a big fan of, and really admire all his ability’s on a microphone.
Kyle Shobe is a world livestock auctioneer champion, a great rodeo announcer, and a good musician, and a real nice guy. We visited some and were on the same flight to Billings.
It was a perfect finish to a great weekend. I got to thinking that Kyle really represents and is a big part of all I was talking about all during the clinic. He and all livestock marketers sell the beef we work so hard to produce, and this music video sure represents pure country folks having a good time.
This is what it’s all about. Raising and selling beef and creating a great lifestyle for our family’s while we are doing it. I love seeing water bottles and young folks in boots and hats having fun with grown ups with boots and hats.
NOTHING BETTER THAN A GOOD AUCTIONEER TO GET THE MONEY FOR CATTLE AND HERE IS A SURE ENOUGH GOOD ONE!
THIS IS A GOOD OLD TIME RANCH DANCE
