Ranch kids have great opportunities to have an unfair advantage on preparing for life in the future. It’s up to those of us creating the environment to set things up for learning, creating confidence and respect for animals, the environment and other humans.

Learning to do things things in a safe and productive manner if done at an early age will stay with a youngster for the rest of their life, just the same as working well with other people and having a good attitude is learned from the people they work with from those early years.

My daughter Mesa has a 3 year old son that is doing so good because of the exposure and confidence she and his Dad HD Page are willing to expose him to. I can’t believe how much time and effort they put into making his life great and his confidence and knowledge of animals, from bucking bulls, horses and even chickens and milk cows.

I feel very sorry for young people that don’t grow up on a farm or ranch and get all the life lessons and opportunities the country life provides.

It looks to me that the future is very good for young people that get the right opportunity to learn and succeed. I find nothing more rewarding than to see a Young person swell with pride and confidence through accomplishment.
